Our Story
Hi, my name is David Sudarma. I’m the founder of Grass Ninja. Right now, this is a small, one-person operation, but I wanted to share with you our vision and how we plan to grow from these humble beginnings. Grass Ninja is more than just a lawn care business—it’s the result of a lifelong passion for hard work, craftsmanship, and doing things the right way.
My story starts in Northern California, where I grew up on 2.5 acres of land. Every Saturday, my brothers and I were responsible for mowing 2 of those acres. It was no small task, but it taught me the value of dedication and taking pride in your work. Fast forward to today, and that same sense of pride has stayed with me. As a homeowner for the past 15 years, I’ve always maintained my own lawn because I love the satisfaction of a job well done.
For the last 18 years, I’ve been immersed in technology—building, innovating, and solving problems as a Chief Technology Officer. While I’ve loved my career, I’ve felt the pull to pursue something more hands-on. Grass Ninja represents that shift: a way to combine my passion for lawn care with a desire to build something physical, tangible, and rooted in my local community.
Our Beginnings
Grass Ninja will officially open its doors in January 2025, starting with one neighborhood: East Park in Lake Nona. For now, it’s just me, out there cutting lawns, edging, and making sure every yard looks its absolute best. My approach is simple: start small, grow steadily, and focus on excellence every step of the way.
We’re starting with one day of service in East Park. As that day fills up, we’ll add a second, and so on, until we’ve covered the entire neighborhood. Only then will we expand to the next community—likely Randal Park. This approach ensures that we stay focused on quality and build strong relationships with every customer we serve.

And if anything ever feels off to you as a customer, just text or call us—we’ll be there within 24 hours to make it right. That’s our promise to you.
